DisplayPort, a 20-pin connector akin to HDMI but designed to supersede DVI/VGA, offers a royalty-free audio/video connection. VESA introduced this standard for simple, high-definition PC-to-display connections. The HDMDPF-DPM is a Mini DisplayPort female to DisplayPort male adapter, enabling you to connect a DisplayPort monitor to a computer or graphics card with a Mini DisplayPort output. This unidirectional adapter plugs into the monitor, allowing you to utilize an existing Mini DisplayPort cable.
